CTET 2025 Application Fee
Applicants belonging to either the OBC or General category are needed to pay Rs. 1000/- (for either Paper I or Paper II) and Rs. 1200/- (for both Paper I & II) and the CTET fees for SC, ST and differently-abled persons are Rs. 500 for any one paper and Rs. 600 for both papers. The Central Teacher Eligibility Test fee can be paid up to the last date to pay CTET exam fees. Candidates are required to submit the CTET 2025 application fees via debit/credit card and net banking by 28 November 2023. The CTET 2025 application fee details for CTET January 2025 is as follows:

CTET 2025 Selection Process
Aspirants appearing for the CTET 2025 Janaury exam will be termed CTET qualified or not qualified on the basis of the marks scored in the CTET exam. If a candidate gets 60% or above marks in the CTET exam, he will be considered as CTET qualified and awarded a CTET certificate. If you are CTET qualified, you can apply for selection at various schools based on the accessible vacancies that need a CTET certificate.
CTET 2025 Exam Pattern
CTET exam is conducted in two phases – Paper 1 and Paper 2. CTET Paper 1 and Paper 2 take place on the same day in two different shifts.
CTET Paper 1 is for candidates aspiring to become teachers of Classes 1 to 5 and CTET Paper 2 is for candidates aspiring to become teachers of Classes 6 to 8. Applicants who intend to be a teacher for both levels (classes I to V and classes VI to VIII) will have to appear in both papers, i.e., Paper I and Paper II. CTET Paper I Exam Pattern
- The CTET 2025 Paper-I exam is divided into 5 sections such as Language I, Language II, Child Development and Pedagogy, Environmental Studies, and Mathematics.
- There will be a total of 150 Questions.
- The CTET 2025 Question paper is of 150 marks.
- The total time for Paper 1 is 150 minutes.
- There is no negative marking.

CTET Paper II Exam Pattern
- The CTET Paper-II exam is divided into 4 sections such as Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I, Language II, Mathematics & Science or Social Studies & Social Science.
- Candidates who want to become Maths and Science teachers will have to choose Mathematics and Science and the candidates who want to become Social Studies and Social Science teachers will have to take Social Studies and Social Science.
- Applicants need to choose between Mathematics & Science and Social Studies in Paper 2
- There is no negative marking.
- The total time allotted is 150 minutes.

Language options offered for CTET 2025
Contenders are required to choose the two languages in order to appear in the CTET Exam. The Test items in Language I will concentrate on the skills related to the medium of instruction. A total of 20 languages are offered to the candidates, out of which two need to be taken – one as Language I and the other as Language II.

CTET 2025 Exam Eligibility Criteria
The CTET 2025 Eligibility Criteria is different for candidates applying for Classes 1 to 5 and for Classes 6 to 8. Candidates are required to check the CTET 2025 Eligibility Criteria before filling out the CTET Exam 2025 Online Form. The educational criteria for both the Papers 1 and 2 are given below:
CTET 2025 Qualification Needed
For CTET Paper 1 - Classes I To V - Primary
Candidates who want to apply to become a teacher for classes 1 to 5 should check the below given educational requirements for CTET Paper 1:
- Candidates must have completed their Senior Secondary or its equivalent examination with a minimum of 50% marks and passed or appearing the final year of 2 – year diploma in Elementary Education, OR
- Candidates must have completed Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), by the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002. OR
- Candidates must have passed Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passing or appearing in the final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). OR
- Candidates must have passed Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education). OR
- Candidates must have passed Graduation with at least 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) from a recognized University/ Institution.
For CTET Paper 2 - Classes VI to VIII – Elementary
Candidates who want to apply to become a teacher for classes 6 to 8 should check the below given educational requirements for CTET Paper 2:
- Candidates must have cleared the Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) from a recognized University/ Institution. OR
- Candidates must have cleared the Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/ B.Sc.Ed. from a recognized University/ Institution OR
- Candidates must have cleared the Graduation with at least 50% marks and passing or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education).
- Candidates must have qualified B.Ed Programme recognized by the NCTE is eligible to appear in TET/CTET. OR
- Candidates must have cleared the Post-graduation candidate with a minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade and three-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed OR
- Candidates must have cleared the Graduation and also must have cleared or still pursuing the final year of 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education from a recognized University/ Institution. OR
- Candidates must have cleared the Graduation (with a minimum of 50% marks) and also must have cleared or still pursuing the final year of 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education from a recognized University/ Institution. OR
- Candidates must have cleared the Graduation (with a minimum of 45% marks) and passed or appeared in 1 year of bachelor’s Degree in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE regulations in Education

CTET 2025 Cut-off
The minimum marks required to be CTET qualified is 60%. It means if you score 60% or more marks in your CTET exam, you will be called a TET pass candidate. If you score 60% or above in the CTET exam, you will be awarded a CTET certificate by the CBSE.
Qualifying Marks
|
As per the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), Candidates who score 60% or more in the TET exam will be considered as TET pass.

CTET Number of Attempts
There is no limit in CTET number of attempts. A candidate can give CTET as many times as he/ she wishes. If a candidate is CTET qualified, he can still give CTET to improve the CTET score.
