Madhya Pradesh PCS Selection Process 2023
The Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) State Service Exam selection procedure has three stages like the UPSC Civil Services exam, that are Prelims, Mains, and Interviews.

Important Points about MPPSC Prelims Exam Pattern
- There is no negative marking in MPPSC Prelims Exam
- In the MPPSC State Service Exam, the General Aptitude Test is qualifying in nature, a candidate needs to score at least 40% marks to qualify and 30% for the candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ OBC/ EWS/ PwBD category.
- In order to decide candidates qualifying for the MPPSC Mains exam, marks of General Studies will be considered.
Madhya Pradesh PCS Mains Exam Pattern
The Madhya Pradesh PCS Mains Exam carries a total of 1400 marks. Applicants who qualify for this exam can appear for the final step in the MPPSC selection process, i.e., Personality Test or Interview.
- The first three papers on General Studies in Madhya Pradesh PCS Mains Exam 2023 consist of 300 marks each, and the fourth General Studies paper comprises 200 marks.
- There are six main subjects: General Studies-I, II, III, IV, General Hindi, and Essay writing.

Madhya Pradesh PCS Personal Interview
An expert panel interacts with each chosen candidate in this round and asks questions about their experience, educational credentials, and more. The main aim of the Interview is to check the applicant's mental agility, clarity of mind, situational intelligence, and analytical and soft skills. The Interview round of the Madhya Pradesh PCS Exam carries 175 marks.
