Madhya Pradesh PCS Prelims Exam Pattern

The MPPSC Prelims Exam consists of two papers – General Studies and General Aptitude (CSAT). Both papers are objective comprising 100 multiple-choice questions.

Important Points about MPPSC Prelims Exam Pattern

• There is no negative marking in MPPSC Prelims Exam
• In the MPPSC State Service Exam, the General Aptitude Test is qualifying in nature, a candidate needs to score at least 40% marks to qualify and 30% for the candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ OBC/ EWS/ PwBD category.
• In order to decide candidates qualifying for the MPPSC Mains exam, marks of General Studies will be considered.

Madhya Pradesh PCS Mains Exam Pattern

The Madhya Pradesh PCS Mains Exam carries a total of 1400 marks. Applicants who qualify for this exam can appear for the final step in the MPPSC selection process, i.e., Personality Test or Interview.

• The first three papers on General Studies in Madhya Pradesh PCS Mains Exam 2023 consist of 300 marks each, and the fourth General Studies paper comprises 200 marks.
• There are six main subjects: General Studies-I, II, III, IV, General Hindi, and Essay writing.
