UPPSC PCS exam takes place every year to recruit for various posts of Uttar Pradesh Civil Services, which includes Deputy Collector, Deputy Superintendent of Police, BDO, Assistant RTO, etc. UPPCS Exam takes place in three stages - Prelims, Mains and Interview.

UPPSC PCS 2022 Exam notification has been released for about 250 vacancies of Upper Subordinate Services. As per the calendar released by UPPSC last year, the UPPSC PCS 2022 Prelims Exam shall be conducted on 12 June 2022.

The eligibility criteria- educational qualification and age is given in detail below for UPPCS Exam 2022.
A. For Posts of Special Qualification through written exam and interview
The candidates applying for the posts included in the Combined State/ Upper Subordinate Services Exam must have a Bachelor's Degree of any recognized University or equivalent qualification. For some posts, specific qualifications are required as listed below:
Sub Registrar, Assistant Prosecuting Officer (Transport) - Law Graduate
District Basik Shiksha Adhikari / Associate DIOS and Other equivalent administrative posts, District Administrative Officer - Post Graduate Degree
District Audit Officer (Revenue Audit)- Commerce Graduate
Assistant Controller Legal Measurement (Grade-I) / Assistant Controller Legal Measurement (Grade-II) - Degree in Science with Physics or Mechanical Engg. as one subject.
Chemist- M.Sc in Organic Chemistry and at least three years experience in Chemical analysis of edible products like Honey, Oil Spices, etc. Priority will be given to those with special training in quality control and experience of five years or more in chemical analysis.
Officer on Special Duty (Computer)- Graduation degree in computer Engineering from recognised Government Institute. or 1. First Class Post Graduate Degree in Math and one year Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Science from a recognised institute. 2.One Year Experience in Computer Work.
Senior Lecturer, DIET - Post Graduate Degree with B.Ed.
District Cane Officer, U.P. Agriculture Service Group "B" (Development Branch) - Agriculture Graduate
Management Officer/ Manager (Estate Department)- (i) A bachelor's degree from a University established by law in India; (ii) Diploma in Hotel Management and Catering Technology from an Institution recognized by the Government. Or A bachelor's degree in Hotel Management and Catering Technology from a University established by law in India.
Labour Enforcement Officer- Bachelor's degree with Economics or Sociology or commerce and Post Graduate Diploma or Post graduate Degree in Law / Labour relation / Labour welfare / Labour Law / Commerce / Sociology / Social work / Social welfare / Trade Management / Personnel Management.
B. Post of Specific Qualification only through written exam
Technical Assistant (Geophysics) - Post graduate degree with atleast 50 percent marks in Geophysics, Applied Geophysics, Geology or applied Geology (with Physics, Mathematics at the B.Sc. level) from a university established by law in India.
Tax Assessment Officer- Bachelor’s degree in commerce or economics with 55% marks.
The age criteria for the Combined State/Upper Sub-ordinate Services Examination is as follows:
The candidate should be aged between 21 years to 40 years of age as of 1 July 2022 i.e. they must not have been born earlier than 2nd July 1982 and later than 1 July 2001.

UPPCS Prelims 2022 Exam will be objective in nature while UPPCS Mains 2022 will be descriptive. The exam pattern for UPPCS Prelims and Mains is given below:
Paper-1 and Paper-2 both are objective and Paper-2 will be qualifying in nature. There will be negative marking of 0.33 for each wrong question. Both papers are conducted on the same day.

UPPCS Mains Exam is conducted on different days. It is descriptive in nature. There are a total of 8 papers. Out of these, one is Essay paper, another is General Hindi Paper and 4 General Studies paper along with 2 optional subject papers. 3 hours is alotted for each Mains paper.
