Staff Selection Commission (SSC) holds SSC MTS competitive exam to recruit candidates in Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS), a General Central Service Group ‘C’ Non- Gazetted, Non-Ministerial post in various ministries and departments of the Central and States government of India. In SSC MTS 2022, the recruitment for Havaldar, a General Central Service Group ‘C’ Non-Gazetted, Non Ministerial post in Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) and Central Bureau of Narcotics (CBN) under Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance.) will also take place through SSC MTS only. The exam is conducted in two stages- C Tier –I and Descriptive Tier-II.
Lakhs of candidates apply for this exam; SSC MTS 2016 exam was taken by 19,96,411 candidates out of which 10,764 finally got selection (based on the vacancies).

The vacancies for SSC MTS Havaldar 2022 have been released by SSC and the vacancies for SSC MTS will be notified later. There is a total of 3603 vacancies of Havaldar in SSC MTS 2022.
SSC MTS Exam Pattern 2022
SSC MTS 2022 exam will be conducted in three stages:
- Paper 1/ Tier-I (Objective) -
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET) for the post of Havaldar
- Paper 2/ Tier-II (Descriptive)
The Physical Efficiency Test and Paper 2 will be held for the posts of SSC MTS Havaldar only and only the candidates who will clear the cut off of Paper 1 will be eligible for further stages.
