Railways Exams

Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) conducts exams for various posts in Railways like Junior Clerk cum Typist, Traffic Assistant, Track Maintainer Grade IV, Junior Engineer, DMS, CMA, Junior Stenographer (Hindi), Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP), etc.

Various Railways Exams conducted by Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) and others for the recruitment into the Railways Jobs are as follows:

 

RRB NTPC

RRB conducts RRB NTPC exam for non-technical posts like Junior Clerk cum Typist, Traffic Assistant, Goods Guard, etc. The RRB NTPC exam is conducted in different stages - 1st Stage CBT, 2nd Stage CBT, Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT), Typing Skill Test, and Document Verification/ Medical Examination.

 

RRB Group D

RRB conducts RRB Group D exam for Group D on behalf of railway recruitment cell (RRC) for the recruitment under various posts like Track Maintainer Grade IV, Assistant Pointsman, Assistant Bridge, and others. The entire recruitment process comprises of Computer Based Test (CBT), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Document Verification, and Medical Examination.

 

RRB JE

RRB conducts the RRB JE exam for various posts like Junior Engineer (JE), Junior Engineer (Information Technology) Depot Material Superintendent (DMS), and Chemical &Metallurgical Assistant (CMA). The recruitment process is conducted in different phases- 1st Stage CBT, 2nd stage CBT, Document Verification/ Medical Examination.

 

RRB Paramedical Exam

RRB conducts a recruitment process for Paramedical categories like Dietician, Staff Nurse, Lab Assistant, Lab Superintendent, ECG Technician, Health & Malaria Inspector, etc. The selection procedure takes place in two stages- 1st Stage CBT followed by document verification.

 

RRB Ministerial and Isolated categories

RRB conducts exam to recruit candidates for the posts of Ministerial and Isolated Categories (MI) like Chief Law Assistant, Junior Stenographer (Hindi and English), Publicity Inspector, PGT, TGT, etc. in different zonal railways and production units of railways. The candidates have to take the CBT exam followed by Stenography Skill Test, Performance Test/Teaching Skill Test, Translation Test (as applicable), and then Document Verification or Medical Exam to get the final selection. CBT will be common for all posts except Junior Stenographer (Hindi) and Junior Stenographer (English).

 

RRB ALP

RRB conducts RRB ALP exam for recruiting candidates for the posts of Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) and various other posts of Technicians. The RRB ALP exam is held in three stages- CBT1, CBT2, and Computer-Based Aptitude Test (CBAT). CBT-1 and CBT-2 are common for ALP and Technician, while those opting for ALP have to undergo the CBAT.

 

Railway ITI Apprentice

Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC) selects candidates for Apprentices post, and the selection is based on the merit list prepared by considering the matriculation marks and marks obtained in ITI in particular trade.

 

RPF Constable and SI

The Ministry of Railways conducts the RPF Constable exam and RPF SI exam to select candidates for the post of Constables and Sub-Inspector in Railway Protection Force and Railway Special Protection Force. The selection procedure includes Computer Based Test (CBT), Physical Efficiency Test (PET) & Physical Measurement Test (PMT), and Document Verification.
