The National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) has commenced the download of the Admit Card for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET), scheduled to be held on 07th July 2019. The official notification for the same was released on 23 January 2019. The online application process started on 5th February 2019 and ended on 5th March 2019. The CTET is held twice in the year by the NCTE, once in the month of July and again in the month of December.

The CTET consists of two Papers: Primary Stage (for classes I to V) and Elementary Stage (for classes VI to VIII). The candidates applying for CTET have the choice to either appear for the Primary paper or for both the papers.

Both the Papers are Multiple Choice and are of 2 hours and 30 minutes of duration each.
