RRB JE 2019: EXAM PATTERN & DOCUMENTS REQUIRED IN DOCUMENT VERIFICATION

RRB has released the exam notification for RRB JE (junior engineer) exam with the syllabus, dates and exam pattern on its official website. The candidates are following meticulous study schedules to achieve better score and grab a government job. So here’s an insight to the new exam pattern as declared by the railway recruitment board.

The new exam for RRB JE is completely online. It has 2 Computer based tests followed by documents & medical verification. The new exam pattern is divided into 3 stages:

  1. CBT-1
  2. CBT-2
  3. Medical test and document verification

The candidate must qualify CBT-1 in order to appear for CBT-2. CBT-1 & CBT-2 have Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). After qualifying CBT-2, various documents of the candidate are verified and the last stage a candidate has to pass is the medical test. The medical test checks the overall fitness of the candidate. If the candidate passes medical test, he/she gets the job in his/her respective field.

DOCUMENT VERIFICATION

The cut-off for CBT-2 will be decided by the Recruitment Board. The candidates having marks equal to or more than the cut off will be called for the process of document verification. The candidate must submit his/her documents on the time given by RRB. All the documents are to be submitted in the form of self-attested scanned copies in true colour of the document. The complete list of documents required to be submitted to RRB for verification is as follows:

  1. Birth proof- SSC/HSC certificate or birth certificate.
  2. 10 +2 or Inter or Higher Secondary or PUC (As applicable)
  3. Diploma or Engineering or Science Degree Certificate with Semester wise Mark Sheets (As applicable).
  4. Graduation degree certificate
  5. Caste certificate (For SC/ST category) if applicable
  6. Self- declaration certificate of ex- service man(if applicable)
  7. OBC NCL certificate (if applicable)
  8. Income certificate for waiving examination fees in EWS category.
  9. Minority community Declaration on non-judicial paper (if applicable)
  10. NOC from serving employees.
  11. Original discharge certificate for Ex-servicemen.
  12. Gazette notification and/or any Legal document in case of formal change of name.
  13. Receipt of payment if made through a Challan at SBI branch or slip at computerized Post Office.
  14. Medical Certificate for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD)
  15. Self-certification by transgender (if applicable)
  16.  J & K domicile certificate (if applicable)
  17. Decree of divorce or judicial separation from the competent Court of Law as applicable and Affidavit stating that the candidate has not remarried.
  18. Death Certificate in case of widow and Affidavit stating that the candidate has not remarried.
  19. Ex-Servicemen candidates who secure civil employment after applying for RRB JE 2019 should give self-declaration to the concerned employer about the details of application, as soon as they join. The acknowledged copy of declaration along with NOC from the civil employer should be produced during DV.                                    

MEDICAL TESTS

After the completion of document verification, the candidate undergoes medical tests where his overall physical fitness is checked. The eye fitness of the candidate is checked particularly and his/her fitness is graded based on the eye fitness.
