Marking Scheme of Civil Services General Studies Paper 1:

Timing: 9:30 AM – 11:30 AM

There will be 100 questions in GS Paper 1.

Each correctly answered question will fetch you +2 marks. Unattempted question will fetch 0 marks.

Each wrongly answered question will result in negative marking of -2/3 marks.

For example, if you answers 80 questions correctly, 15 questions incorrectly and leaves 5 questions unattempted, your score will be = 80*(2) – 15*(2/3) + 5*(0) = 150.

UPSC CSAT 2020 Answer Key of Set A, B, C and D:

Civil Services General Studies Paper 2:

Timing: 2:30 PM – 4:30 PM

There will be 80 questions in GS Paper 2.

Max Marks: 200

The General Studies Paper 2 is a qualifying paper only. You need to score at least 33 % marks in this paper to qualify it.

Each correctly answered question will fetch you +2.5 marks. Unattempted question will fetch 0 marks.

Each wrongly answered question will result in negative marking of -2/3 marks.

For example, if you answers 60 questions correctly, 10 questions incorrectly and leaves 10 questions unattempted, your score will be = 60*(2.5) – 10*(2.5/3) + 10*(0) = 141.67.
