In 2019, the 7^th CISM Military World Games is being hosted by China in Wuhan. International Military Sports Council (CISM) is one of the biggest global sports organization that organizes the Military World Games every four years since its inception in 1995.

Military World Games is a multi-sport event organized one year before the Olympic Games are held.

The first Military World Games were held in Rome in 1995, in which 93 nations participated in 17 different sporting events.

In 2015, 6^th Military World Games were hosted by South Korea in Mungyeong, in which 105 countries participated, among which 15 were observers in 24 different events. Russia topped the medal table, followed by Brazil and China.

In 2019, more than 140 countries will be participating in 27 sporting events, including badminton, tennis, women’s boxing, etc. The motto for 2019 is “Military Glory, World Peace.”
