Nahargarh Fort is located on the edge of the Aravali Hills in the city of Jaipur, Rajasthan.

The original name of the fort was Sudarshangarh, but it came to be known as Nahargarh, which means 'abode of tigers'.

Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh, the king of Jaipur, built the fort mainly in 1734. Walls extended over the surrounding hills formed a fortification and connected it to Jaigarh fort. The fort was extended in 1868 during the reign of Sawai Ram Singh.
