Below are the two statements followed by two conclusions I and II. You have to take the given statements to be true even if they seem to be at variance with the commonly known facts and pick which of the conclusion(s) follow/s the statements?

Statement:

All bottles are material.

Some material are plastic.

Some material are metal.

No metal is plastic.

Conclusion:

I. Some bottles are metal.

II. All plastic that are bottles are material.

Given statements can be depicted by the following possible cases

Relation of statements

From case 1 and 2 we can say that conclusion 1 is possible but not definite. So, conclusion I follows the statements.

From case 2 we can clearly say that as all bottles are material so, that plastic which are bottles will always be material. So, conclusion II follows the statements.

Hence, (b) is the correct answer.
