Explanation :In protest against Partition of Bengal, the Boycott Resolution was passed in a meeting held in the Calcutta Townhall on 7 August 1905. The formal proclamation of Swadeshi Movement was also made. Foreign goods were boycotted and emphasis was laid on promoting use of Swadeshi products.
Bengal National College was set up with Aurobindo Ghosh as its Principal. On 15 August, 1906, the National Council of Education was established to ogranise a system of education on national lines.
