IBPS Exams - CRP SO, CRP PO/MT, CRP Clerks, CRP RRB Officers Scale (I, II, III), CRP RRB OA

The IBPS conducts four different recruitment processes in a year for the banking sector recruitment. The five recruitment processes are as follows:
1. CRP PO/MT
2. CRP Clerical
3. CRP Specialist Officers
4. CRP RRBs
The recruitment takes place through different exams under these recruitment processes. These examinations are conducted once a year for the employment of suitable candidates for various banking posts. The multiple exams are as follows:
- IBPS SO - This exam is for recruitment of Specialist officers of Scale 1 in participating organisations (national public sector banks)
- IBPS PO/MT - This exam is for recruitment of Probationary Officers and Management Trainees' in participating organisations (national public sector banks)
- IBPS Clerk - This exam is for recruitment of Clerks in participating organisations (national public sector banks)
- IBPS RRB Officers Scale 1 - This exam is for the recruitment of Officers of Scale 1 in participating organisations ( Regional Rural banks). The post of Officer Scale 1 is equivalent to the Probationary Officer post in national Public sector banks.
- IBPS RRB Office Assistant - This exam is for the recruitment of Office Assistants in participating organisations ( Regional Rural banks). The post of Office Assistant is equivalent to the post of Clerk in National Public Sector Banks.
- IBPS RRB Officer Scale 2 and 3 - This exam is for the recruitment of Officers of Scale 2 and 3 in participating organisations ( Regional Rural banks). The post of Officer Scale-2 is equivalent to Specialist Officer post in National Public sector banks. Officer Scale-3 is equal to senior manager posts in National Public Sector Banks.
1. CRP Specialist Officers
This examination is conducted for the recruitment of candidates to carry out specialized tasks in a bank. There are six categories of Specialist Officers as per the IBPS:
- I.T. Officer (Scale I)
- Agricultural Field Officer (Scale I)
- Rajbhasha Adhikari (Scale I)
- Law Officer (Scale I)
- HR/Personnel Officer (Scale I)
- Marketing Officer (Scale I)
The recruitment process is carried out in four phases:
- Preliminary Exam
- Main Exam
- Interview
- Provisional Allotment
The official notification of IBPS Specialist Officers 2019 is expected to be released by mid-October 2019.
2. CRP PO/MT
One of the most sought-after banking examinations, the IBPS PO examination is conducted for the induction of Probationary Officers or Management Trainees in the participating banks.
The recruitment process is carried out in four phases:
- Preliminary Exam
- Main Exam
- Interview
- Provisional Allotment
The official notification of IBPS PO 2019 is released on 2 August 2019, and IBPS PO 2019 Application portal will be available from 7 August 2019 till 28 August 2019.
3. CRP Clerks
The CRP Clerks Examination is for the post of Clerk or a similar job in that cadre, in the participating banks.
The process is carried out in three stages:
- Preliminary Exam
- Main Exam
- Provisional Allotment
The post of the Clerk in the bank is one of the most important posts as it is the first point of contact for the customer. A Clerk or a person in a similar post is required to handle various banking tasks and act as a Single Window Operator.
The official notification of IBPS Clerical 2019 is expected at the beginning of September 2019.
4. CRP RRB (Officers Scale I, II and III)
CRP RRB Examination for Officer Scale I, II and III are conducted for the posts of Officer Scale-I (equivalent to PO post in a National Bank), Officer Scale-II (equivalent to Specialist Officers in a National Bank) and Officer Scale III (equivalent to the post of Senior Manager in a National Bank).
The recruitment process for Officer Scale-I is carried out in Four Stages:
- Preliminary Exam
- Main Exam
- Interview
- Provisional Allotment
The recruitment process for Officer Scale-II and III is carried out in Three Stages:
- Single Examination
- Interview
- Provisional Allotment
The CRP RRB (Officers Scale I, II, and III) is fast gaining popularity among the youth as one of the most rewarding examinations in the banking sector. The online applications for CRP RRBs 2019 are closing on 04th July 2019. Interested candidates should apply before the applications close to avoid missing out on a golden opportunity.
5. CRP RRB (Office Assistant)
This examination is for the induction of Office Assistants (equivalent to the post of Clerk in a National Bank) in the participating Regional Rural Banks.
The process is carried out in three phases:
- Preliminary Exam
- Main Exam
- Provisional Allotment
The RRB Office Assistant is a lower management post, and the job profile includes taking care of accounts, cash collection, cheque verification, amongst other tasks. The online applications for CRP RRBs 2019 are closing on 04th July 2019.
