SBI PO 2019 exam notification has been released by the State Bank of India on 1st April, 2019. The online preliminary Exam is scheduled to be conducted on 8th, 9th, 15th and 16th June, 2019. The post of SBI probationary officer is one of the highly paid job which is reputed and full of future opportunities for the candidates. There are more than a million aspirants across the nation, competing for the opportunity to bag this lucrative job because of the luxury and job safety it provides. However, as attractive and prestigious as it sounds, the exam for achieving this dream job is equally competitive and tough.

Most of the candidates have been preparing in full fledge since long to polish their abilities and perform their best in the upcoming SBI PO exam. The recruitment process consists of the following phases:

  1. Preliminary Examination
  2. Main Examination
  3. Group Exercise and Interview.

The recruitment process will lead to the selection of suitable candidates who are liable to be posted as a PO in SBI and its associate banks located anywhere across the nation. The candidates who satisfy the eligibility criteria are required to register online for the exam. The ones who pass the prelims will be qualified for the mains and the ones who make it to the merit list in mains will be selected for the third and the final round of selection, i.e. group exercises and the interview.

SBI PO Eligibility criteria:

  1. Essential educational qualification: The candidate must have a graduation in any discipline from a recognized University or should possess any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government. The ones who are in the final year or final semester of their graduation are also allowed to apply given the condition that, if called for an interview, they will have to produce proof of having passed the graduation examination on or before 31.08.2019. Those candidates having Integrated Dual Degree (IDD) certificate should ensure that the date of passing the IDD is on or before 31.08.2019.

Candidates possessing qualification of Chartered Accountancy are also eligible to apply.

 

Additional notes:

i) The date on which one passes the eligibility examination will be counted as the date visible on the mark sheet or the provisional certificate issued by respective university or institute. In case one has not yet received a hard copy of mark sheet and the result is posted on the website of the university/institute, a certificate provided by an appropriate authority of the university/institute indicating the date on which the result was posted on the website will be considered as the date of passing.

ii) The candidate must indicate the percentage obtained in graduation with a precision up to two decimal points while filling the online application. In case a candidate has results that display only CGPA/SGPA/OGPA, the same will have to be converted to percentage to be mentioned in the online application. When called for the interview, the candidate will have to produce a certificate awarded by the university, explaining the norms of the university regarding conversion of grades into percentage and the marks/percentage scored by the candidate according to these norms.

iii) Calculation of percentage: The percentage shall be calculated by dividing the total marks obtained by the candidate in all the semesters/years by maximum obtainable marks (irrespective of the subject/programme being optional/additional/honors). This will also be applicable for those universities where Class/ Grade/Rank is decided by considering Honors marks only. The fraction of percentage so arrived will be ignored i.e. 59.99% will be treated as less than 60% and 54.99% will be treated as less than 55%.

  1.  Age Limit: (As on 01.04.2019): Age of the candidate should not be below 21 years and not above 30 years as on 01.04.2019. The candidates must have been born not later than 01.04.1998 and not earlier than 02.04.1989 (both days inclusive)

         2. Other eligibility criteria:

i) Candidates with record of default in repayment of loans and/or credit card dues and/or against whose name adverse report of CIBIL or other external agencies is available are not eligible for appointment.

ii) Candidates against whom there is any adverse report regarding character & antecedents or moral turpitude are not eligible to apply for the post.
