Let work done by (3n - 1) men in (2n + 1) days be x and work done by (3n + 1) men in (4n - 3) days be y. If x : y = 6 : 11, then what is the value of n?

x / y = 204 / 399 = 68 / 133, which is not equal to 6 / 11.

For n = 7, x = 300, y = 550

x / y = 300 / 550 = 6 / 11, which is equal to 6 / 11.
