Given below each sentence are four sequences namely (A), (B), (C) and (D). You are required to re- arrange the jumbled parts of the sentence and mark your response accordingly.

P. for some inexplicable

Q. mind went

R. completely blank

S. reason, her

Answer

Correct Answer : a ) PSQR

Explanation :

The given sentence talks of a lady being blank because of certain reason.

The word ‘blank’ can only be attributed to ‘mind’ as it implies the sense of having nothing.

So, QR form a pair. But it cannot be the initiator as it is a dependent clause. It needs some part ahead to give it complete meaning.

The adjective ‘inexplicable’ has to be attached to a noun subject to impart the meaning that something is not explainable. The noun subject in other parts is ‘reason’ in S. So, PS form another pair.

Moreover, possessive case ‘her’ will qualify ‘mind’ to imply the lady’s mind.

So, the sequence becomes PSQR.

Hence, (A) is the correct answer.
