If 4 men and 20 children can do the work in 9 days and 15 children and a men can complete the same work in 15 days. Efficiency of Men is what percent more than the efficiency of Children?

Explanation :

According to the question

Let the efficiency of men be ‘M’ and children be ‘C’

We know that

By MHD formula

\({M1*E1*D1*H1 \over W1}={M2*E2*D2*H2 \over W2}\)

Where, M, E, D, H and W are Number of person, efficiency, days, Hours and work Respectively.

Substituting the values

⇒\({(4*M+20*C)*9 \over 1}={(1*M+15*C)*15 \over 1}\)

⇒ (4M + 20C) * 3 = (M + 15C)*5

⇒ 12M + 60C = 5M + 75C

⇒ 7M = 15 C

⇒\({M \over C}={15 \over 7}\)

Efficiency of men more than Children = 15 – 7 = 8

⇒Required Percentage=\({8 \over 7}*100\)

⇒ 114.28%

Hence, (a) is the correct answer.
