Explanation :Fukagu of Japan is the highest performing and fastest supercomputer in the world. It was announced by computer statistic website TOP500. Fugaku is jointly developed by RIKEN and Fujitsu Ltd.
It was launched in 2014 and it is expected to be fully operational in 2021. According to TOP500’s press release, it is able to do over 415 quadrillion computations per second or 415.5 petaflops. It is 2.8 times more powerful than the US-based supercomputer Summit, which is at second position.
Pratyush, the fastest supercomputer of India, is at 67th position in the TOP 500 list.
Sierra of US is at the third position followed by China’s supercomputers Sunway TaihuLight and Tianhe-2.
