Answer

Correct Answer : b ) Cerebrum

Explanation :

The cerebrum is the largest part of the human brain, which consists of two cerebral hemispheres.

About Human Brain:

The human brain is the central organ of the human nervous system, and along with the spinal cord forms the central nervous system.

The brain can be divided into three parts:

1. Forebrain- It consists of cerebrum, thalamus and hypothalamus. The cerebrum is wrapped around a structure called thalamus. Thamalums is major coordinating centre for sensory and motor signaling. Hypothalamus lies at the base of the thalamus.

2. Midbrain-  A canal called the cerebral aqueduct passes through the midbrain. It is located between thalamus/hypothalamus of forebrain and pons of hindbrain.

3. Hindbrain- It consists of pons, cerebellum, and medulla oblongata. Pons consists of fibre tracts that interconnect different regions of the brain.

The brain controls most of the body's movements, processes, integrates and coordinates information received from the senses, and makes decisions according to instructions sent to the rest of the body.

It is also the site for processing of vision, hearing, speech, memory, intelligence, emotions and thoughts.

Hence, (b) is the correct answer.
