Six friends Ravi, Anant, Mohan, Brij, Raj and Shyam, are sitting around a circular table. All of them are sitting equidistant to each other, facing away from the center of the table. The number of persons sitting between Ravi and Mohan when counted clockwise is equal to the number of persons sitting between them when counted anticlockwise. Anant sits third to the right of Raj. Ravi does not sit adjacent to Shyam. Shyam sits immediate left of Mohan. Brij is the immediate neighbour of Anant.

Given Information: Anant sits third to the right of Raj. Brij is the immediate neighbour of Anant.

From the above information, there can be two possibilities:

Possibility 1: Brij sitting immediate right of Anant

Possibility 2: Brij sitting immediate left of Anant

Information: Ravi does not sit adjacent to Shyam. The number of persons sitting between Ravi and Mohan when counted clockwise is equal to the number of persons sitting between them when counted anticlockwise.

From the above information, we can say that Ravi and Mohan are sitting opposite to each other.

Considering case 1:

In this case, if Ravi sits immediate left of Anant, then Shyam will definitely be the neighbour of Ravi. Therefore, Ravi will be sitting between Raj and Brij.

Considering case 2:

In this case, if Ravi sits immediate right of Anant, then Shyam will definitely be the neighbour of Ravi. Therefore, Ravi will be sitting between Raj and Brij.

Now, depicting the possible cases we get

Information: Shyam sits immediate left of Mohan.

From the above information, we can say that there is no place for Shyam to sit in case 1, thus case 1 fails.
