  • The oath of office and secrecy has been administered by Ramchandra Paudel at Sheetal Niwas.
  • The appointment has been made following his election as the parliamentary party leader of the Rastriya Swatantra Party.
  • He became the 47th Prime Minister under Article 76(1) of the Constitution.
  • The party secured a near two-thirds majority in the recently concluded parliamentary elections.
  • His elevation marks a significant political shift driven by youth-led support.
  • He is the first democratically elected Prime Minister after the ousting of the previous government.
