1. Government formed a framework for safeguarding and protecting consumer interest from fake and deceptive reviews in e-commerce.
- Department of Consumer Affairs along with the Bureau of Indian Standards launched the framework titled Indian Standard (IS) 19000:2022 ‘Online Consumer Reviews — Principles and Requirements for their Collection, Moderation and Publication.
- The standard will be applicable to every online platform which publishes consumer reviews.
- Initially, the standards will be voluntary for all e-commerce platforms.
- Integrity, accuracy, privacy, security, transparency, accessibility and responsiveness are the main guiding principles of the standard.
- To fully assess this initiative, BIS will also prepare a Conformity Assessment Scheme for the standard within 15 days.
- After the standard becomes mandatory, any entity’s violation of the standards will be considered an unfair trade practice or a violation of consumer rights.
- Developing a code of practice and giving access to terms and conditions are the organization’s responsibilities under the standard.
- The standard will also provide a method for verification of the review author through email address, telephone call or SMS, using a captcha system, etc.

2. Telugu superstar Chiranjeevi honoured with the Indian Film Personality of the Year Award at the 53rd IFFI 2022.
- Chiranjeevi has worked in more than 150 feature films in Telugu and some in Hindi, Tamil and Kannada.
- He also served as the Minister of Culture & Tourism of India from October 2012 to May 2014.
- In 2006, he received Padma Bhushan for his contribution to Indian cinema.
- The 53rd International Film Festival of India is being held in Goa from 20 - 28 November 2022.
- At the 53rd IFFI, Hadinelentu was the opening Indian Feature film and the Show Must Go On was the opening Indian Non-Feature film.

3. Novak Djokovic equalled Roger Federer's record by winning the 6th ATP Finals title.
- In Tennis, Novak Djokovic defeated Casper Ruud of Norway in the ATP World Tour Finals in Turin, Italy.
- Djokovic defeated Ruud in straight sets 7–5, 6–3 to equal Roger Federer's record of six ATP Finals titles.
- This is Djokovic's first ATP title since 2015.
- At 35, Djokovic is the oldest player to win the title.

4. Manika Batra became the first Indian woman to win a medal at ITTF–ATTU Asian Cup.
- On 19 November, India's Manika Batra created history by winning the women's singles bronze medal at the ITTF-ATTU Asian Cup tournament at Huamark Indoor Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
- She won the bronze medal after defeating the World number six and three-time Asian champion Hina Hayata in a match by 4-2.
- The gold medal was won by Wang Yidi of China. She defeated Japan's Mima Ito 4–2 in the final.
- In the semi-finals, Mima Ito defeated Manika Batra and Yidi defeated Hina Hayata.
- Earlier, Chetan Babur had won a silver medal in 1997 and a bronze medal in 2000 for India in the Asian Cup.

5. 25th National Conference on e-Governance will be held in Katra, Jammu from 26 November.
- The theme of the two-day conference is “Bringing Citizens, Industry and Government closer.”
- The conference will be inaugurated by Dr. Jitendra Singh, Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions.
- The Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances and the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology will organize the conference in collaboration with the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir Administration.
- Under the NAeG Scheme 2022, 18 e-Government initiatives will be awarded National Awards for e-Governance (NAeG) in 5 different categories. These include 9 gold and 9 silver awards.
- Representatives from different Central Ministries/Departments will participate in the conference.
- Shri Manoj Sinha, Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir will chair the Valedictory Session of the 25th NCEG on 27th November 2022.

6. Gandhi Mandela Award has been given to the Dalai Lama.
- On 19 November, Himachal Pradesh Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar presented the Gandhi Mandela Award 2022 to the 14th Dalai Lama at Mcleodganj.
- Governor Arlekar called him the “universal ambassador of peace” and said he is the most deserving person in the world today for the award.
- The Dalai Lama also received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1989.

- This award is given by the New Delhi-based Gandhi Mandela Foundation.
- The foundation instituted the Gandhi Mandela Award on the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi in 2019.
- The award is given to individuals who have carried on Gandhi and Mandela's legacy by contributing to peace, social welfare, culture, environment, education, healthcare, sports, and innovation.

7. Indian Army’s South Western Command conducted Integrated Fire Power Exercise, “SHATRUNASH’’.
- The exercise was conducted at Mahajan Field Firing Range (MFFR) in the Thar Desert of Rajasthan on 21 November 2022.
- The exercise involved the use of multifarious firing platforms in an integrated manner.
- The exercise included actions like the insertion of troops and offensive ground actions involving comprehensive coordination incorporating contemporary technologies.
- In order to combat emergent dangers, multiple participants engaged in real-time communication and shared a single operating picture.
- An important aspect of the exercise was the use of resources including assets of the Indian Air Force in an integrated manner with a combined arms approach to warfighting.
- This was affected by using Advanced Light Helicopter (Weapon System Integrated), K9 – Vajra, Sharang Artillery Guns, Bhishma (T-90 tanks) & Ajeya (T-72 tanks).

8. Kazakhstan President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev won 81.31% of the vote in the election on 20 November 2022.
- He has secured a second term. He first came to power in 2019.
- None of the five other candidates scored double digits in the vote. 5.8% of voters cast their ballot against all candidates.
- Kazakhstan witnessed protests over high living costs in January. During that time, Tokayev violently suppressed the protests.
- Kazakhstan:
- It is the largest country in Central Asia.
- It shares its border with Russia, China, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, the Aral Sea, Turkmenistan and the Caspian Sea.
- Nur-Sultan (Astana) is the capital and Tenge is the currency of Kazakhstan.
- Kazakhstan is a democratic, constitutional republic.

9. NCPCR launched 'GHAR – GO Home and Re-Unite' portal.
- The 'GHAR – GO Home and Re-Unite' (Portal for Restoration and Repatriation of Child) has been launched by National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR).
- The portal will track and monitor children who are in the JJ system.
- NCPCR has launched the “Training Modules for the Child Welfare Committees (CWCs), Protocols for Restoration and Repatriation of Children” on the occasion of World Children’s Day.
- Training Module for Chairpersons and Members of Child Welfare Committees has been prepared with the objective of bringing the roles and responsibilities of CWCs at one place.
- It is a 15-day programme for training CWCs and is divided into 63 sessions of over 72-hour duration.
- It will improve skills for delivering effective and timely service for the protection and rehabilitation of children.
- The module was launched by Women and Child Development Minister Smriti Irani.

10. Sangai Festival celebrations begun in Manipur.
- The Sangai, the largest tourism festival in Manipur, has begun.
- Sangai Festival is named after the state animal of Manipur ‘Sangai’ deer.
- Union Tourism Minister G. Kishan Reddy and Chief Minister N. Biren Singh attended the inaugural ceremony of the Manipur Sangai Festival 2022 in the Bishnupur district.
- On this occasion, two coffee table books – Manipur Sangai Festival 2022 and Manipur Today Special Edition on Sangai Festival, have been released.
- Chief Minister Biren Singh also inaugurated the Sangai Ethnic Park.
- 'Festival of oneness' is the theme of this year’s festival. The ten-day festival will be celebrated at 13 venues across six districts.
- Sangai Festival is celebrated as the ‘Festival of Oneness’.

11. Shah Rukh Khan to receive an award at Red Sea International Film Festival.
- On 20 November, the Red Sea International Film Festival (Red Sea IFF) announced that Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan will receive an Honorary Award.
- He will receive this award in recognition of his exceptional contribution to the film industry at the opening ceremony of the second edition of the festival in Jeddah on the eastern coast of the Red Sea.
- Shahrukh, fondly called King Khan, made more than 100 films in three decades in the film industry and crafted an extraordinary career in India and around the world.
- The festival will take place from December 1 to December 10.
- Red Sea International Film Festival:
- It is a film festival launched in 2019. It is organized in Jeddah, western Saudi Arabia.
- It is a platform for Arab filmmakers and industry professionals to connect, host short and feature film competitions, and support emerging talent.
- The Red Sea Film Festival Foundation, a non-profit cultural organization registered in Saudi Arabia, organizes and operates the festival.
- Prince Badr Al Saud, Saudi Arabia's minister of culture, chairs the Foundation.

12. 75 youths selected as winners of the second edition of ‘75 Creative Minds of Tomorrow’ initiative.
- The initiative is a brainchild of Anurag Thakur, Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting and Youth Affairs and Sports.
- The aim of the initiative is to identify, encourage, and nurture young creative talent in filmmaking from every nook and corner of the country.
- The initiative is part of the 53rd edition of the International Film Festival of India (IFFI), taking place in Goa from 20 to 28 November 2022.
- As part of the initiative “75 Creative Minds of Tomorrow”, 75 youth in the age group of 18 to 35 got a chance to attend the 53rd IFFI as special guests.
- These talented youths are from 19 different states of India.
- The maximum number of winners are from Maharashtra (23 artistes), followed by Tamil Nadu (9 winners) and Delhi (6 talents).
- These 75 youngsters have been selected on the basis of their excellence in various fields of filmmaking such as Direction, Acting, Cinematography, Editing, Screenplay Writing, Playback Singer, Music Composition, Costume & Make-up, Art Design & Animation, VFX, AR & VR.
- Among these, the youngest winners are 18-year-old Nitish Verma from Haryana and 18-year-old Taufeeq Mandal from Maharashtra. Both have been selected for their talent in composing music.
- Four areas of expertise have been identified in these diverse fields and have been combined in this edition of the 75 Creative Minds of Tomorrow initiative.
- These four new categories are - 1) Music Composition, 2) Costume & Make-up, 3) Art Design and 4) Animation/VFX/AR/VR.
- To make their IFFI experience more engaging and exciting, the 75 youth were divided into 15 groups where they will compete in a "53-Hour Challenge".
- This contest will challenge them to make a short film on their idea of 'India@100', all in 53 hours.
- The competition is being run by the National Film Development Corporation in association with Shorts TV.

13. Max Verstappen won the 15th race of the year at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
- Verstappen was ahead of his teammate Sergio Perez from the start of the race.
- Ferrari's Charles Leclerc stood at second place. Sergio Perez stood at third place.
- Sebastian Vettel stood at 10th position. This race was the final race in which Sebastian Vettel participated.
- 2022 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix is officially known as the Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2022.
- It is a Formula One motor race. It was held at the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates on 20 November 2022.

14. Haryana government has launched an award scheme to reward human resources who make extraordinary efforts at workplace.
- The scheme is named as Haryana Good Governance Award Scheme, 2022 (Haryana Sushasan Puraskaar Yojana, 2022).
- Officials who have done innovative work in infrastructure, economic and social sector or state flagship programmes can apply for awards under this scheme.
- Good governance awards will be given at the state and district levels.

- Three awards will be given in each district for each level.
