2. The Home Ministry approved projects worth over Rs 4,600 crore for disaster management.
- A high-level committee chaired by Home Minister Amit Shah approved disaster management projects worth over ₹4,645 crore.
- The projects are meant to strengthen disaster resilience in nine states, including Assam, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, and Rajasthan.
- Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, and Andhra Pradesh were also among the states that will benefit.
- For Assam, a ₹692 crore project was approved for the restoration and rejuvenation of wetlands.
- This initiative aims to increase flood storage, protect aquatic life, and boost fisheries infrastructure.
- The high-level committee has also approved the Urban Flood Risk Management Programme Phase-2 for eleven cities.

6. Typhoon Bualoi caused devastation in north-central Vietnam.

- Around 14 people are reported missing, and 164 others have been injured due to the storm.
