1. India competed at the World Archery Para Series in Bangkok and won a total of 16 medals.
- These included seven gold medals, five silver medals and four bronze medals.
- Payal Nag won gold in the women’s compound event. She defeated Sheetal Devi in the final.
- Toman Kumar claimed gold in the men’s compound category by defeating Jonathon Milne in the final.
- Bhawna won gold in the women’s recurve event. She beat Phattharaphon Pattawaeo in the match that ended with a 6–0 score.
- Harvinder Singh secured a silver medal in the recurve final, which he lost to Kholidin.
- Swati Chaudhary also won a silver medal in the women’s W1 category. She was defeated by Ok Geum Kim.
- Shyam Sunder Swami secured a bronze medal in the men’s compound event.
- He defeated Rakesh Kumar. Rakesh Kumar finished in fourth place.

2. Optical Fibre Cable Project worth ₹398 crore approved by Indian Railways.
- The Optical Fibre Cable Backbone Project worth approximately ₹398 crore was approved by Indian Railways for Ahmedabad and Ratlam Divisions.
- A total network coverage of 1,929 route kilometres is planned under the project across Western Railway.
- Out of the total, 1,456 route kilometres will be covered in Ahmedabad Division, while 473 route kilometres will be laid in Ratlam Division.
- The project has been approved under the umbrella work titled ‘Provision of Kavach with communication backbone of long-term evolution on balance routes of Indian Railways’.
- The communication infrastructure of the railways is expected to be significantly strengthened through this augmentation.
- Enhanced capacity, reliability, and efficiency of railway communication systems will be ensured through the implementation.
- Modern signalling systems, including Kavach, will be supported by seamless and high-speed data transmission.
